Today’s pace of life is faster than ever which makes it difficult at times to eat well, especially when you’re on the go. With liquid meals and smoothies now becoming an increasing part of people everyday life, I thought it was about time for me to perfect making my own smoothies, at home. I recently had surgery and wasn’t able to cook or eat solids during the full week of recovery, so this was the perfect timing to trial the George Foreman Mix & Go Pro. Today I’m sharing a recipe for a classic green smoothie for a nutritious, healthy and filling breakfast.
- Handful spinach
- ½ cup pineapple
- ½ cup green grapes
- ½ green apple
- 1 cup coconut water
- Cut pineapple and apple into cubes
- Place apple, pineapple, coconut water, grapes and spinach in blender in that order
- With the Mix & Go Pro, use the ‘auto smoothie’ function to blend until smooth and well combined
